1. Introduction and Compatibility This guide provides fitting instructions for the XLV Van Door Lock, designed to enhance the security of your vehicle. Milenco has years of experience manufacturing and supplying vehicle locks for successful fitment.

2. Planning the Lock Position Carefully plan the lock position on your vehicle. It is recommended that the lock face points to the rear of the vehicle to minimize road dirt ingress. Ensure the lock is placed appropriately to avoid obstructing door opening and vehicle graphics. Consider the versatility of fitment based on the vehicle design and access requirements.

3. Fitting the XLV Van Door Lock Step-by-Step

1. Double-check the lock position before drilling holes in the vehicle body. Attach the lock with tape to ensure adequate clearance and access for bolt fitting. Remove any necessary vehicle lining.
2. When satisfied with the lock position, use the self-adhesive template for drill hole positioning. Center the top and bottom notch in the template on the door split.
3. Drill 1mm pilot holes for the 2 outer holes if unsure about internal access, then check the position.
4. Drill 8x 6.5mm holes through the template when satisfied with the mounting position.
5. Remove the template and bolt the lock through the vehicle body. Ensure gasket arrows point upwards and the gasket is on the outside of the vehicle body.
6. Use washers and tighten the 8 bolts and washers from the inside of the vehicle body.
7. Check the lock operation.

Three keys are supplied with the lock. Spare keys are available, but your key number is required. Make a note of the key number and keep it in a safe place.
